Connecting the DMM probe
To connect the DMM probe to the Mantis Unit, you will need the Mantis Unit powered ON, the DMM probe, the digital connector board and the digital connector cable. Make sure no other sensors are plugged into the digital connector port on the Mantis Unit.
Step 1 – Locate the digital connector port for the digital connector board.

Step 2 – Locate the alignment arrow on the digital connector cable end. Both ends of this connector cable are identical and either end can be used to connect to the digital connector board.

Step 3 – Gently connect the connector cable to the digital connector board.

Step 4 – Locate the alignment arrow on the other end of the digital connector cable end. Both ends of this connector cable are identical and either end can be used to connect to the DMM unit.
 
Step 5 – Gently connect the other end of the connector cable to the DMM unit.

Step 6 – Locate the digital connector port for the Mantis Unit. The pins for this connector are VERY FRAGILE! Caution must be used when connecting the digital connector to the Mantis Unit.

Step 7 – Align the connector pins correctly. Gently connect the digital connector board to the Mantis Unit digital connector port with the board oriented so that the writing and digital connector are facing up. The pins for this connector are VERY FRAGILE! Caution must be used when connecting the digital connector to the Mantis Unit.

Step 6 – Firmly connect the digital connector board to the digital connector port on the Mantis Unit. The pins for this connector are VERY FRAGILE! Caution must be used when connecting the digital connector to the Mantis Unit. The DMM sensor is now ready to be used to collect your data!
